The brief

The kitchen, laundry and living room were closed off from each other by a load-bearing wall. The goal was one open, light-filled space where the family could cook, eat and relax together.

What we did

We propped the ceiling, installed a new engineered beam, then sheeted, set and laid new flooring through the whole area.
